About Me
Hi, I’m Kejia Zhao—though I go by Aviss. I'm a UI/UX designer and an Associate Registered Graphic Designer (RGD) based in Toronto, Canada. I hold a Bachelor of Design from Thompson Rivers University (2023) and an Advanced Diploma in Interaction Design & Development from George Brown College (2020).
I'm passionate about creating visually engaging and user-centered design experiences. My approach blends strategic design thinking with problem-solving to craft meaningful, intuitive interfaces. During my academic journey, I was fortunate to receive a multidisciplinary education that allowed me to explore a variety of creative fields.
My hands-on experience spans both full-time roles and contract-based projects, giving me a well-rounded foundation as a designer. These opportunities have shaped my practice and deepened my understanding of design in different contexts.
I see design as both a challenge and a joy—and I’m always eager to keep learning and growing in this ever-evolving field.
Outside of work, I’m deeply interested in cultural experiences. I love traveling, watching movies, and discovering the hidden gems that cities have to offer. In 2024, I took a meaningful break to reconnect with family and spend time in Shaxi Ancient Town in Dali, Yunnan, where I explored local life and nature in the mountains. Now, I’m back and fully recharged—ready to continue my journey as a designer.
